3. she came to my attention via a rando new ack friend, and there's few things i love more than rando ack connections.

frenchie friday: a tale of two Lus
brought the gang to my happy place yesterday.
needed to hug my dear friend Lucinda of chocolate creative design. she just lost her bestie, Mr. Hobbes, last week and my heart hurts for her and her family.
seeing as i cried when george turned ONE because he then actually had an age, i obviously cannot even fathom the extent of her sadness.
she thought holding this pork chop was very therapeutic.
and miss looloo didn't seem to mind a bit!
it was such an amazing treat to spend time on the island. the girls went to bed with the dirtiest feet . . . the best kind of dirt. . . island dirt. we all five ran until we were out of breath {doesn't take much for me}
it's just magic. pure elihu magic.

it's before noon on friday in may and george & loo are down for the count. our house is hot. {i'm just going to go ahead and add central air to the birthday list . . . obvs}

i'm feeling a little guilty leaving my two 4 legged babies behind this weekend as i head to nantucket for winefest. i'm sure i'll get over it after one million cocktails. but much like their mama, nantucket is george & loo's happy place.

frenchie friday : jen huang photography
so i stumbled upon a glorious image of a cake by jen huang on pinterest
. . . minutes later i found this one.
so i did what any crazy dog lady person would do, and sent her an e-mail asking all about the pups and bombarding her with the stunning images of my george & loo by white loft studio while i was at it. obvs.
lucky for me, these adorbs pups {gatsby & pepper} do belong to jen and she didn't think i was a complete nutjob {well, at least she didn't tell me if she did}. also lucky for me, this led me to jen's other work. it is so beautiful and goes way beyond frenchies.

frenchie friday : rue la la
so i woke up to many "mentions" in comments on FB from friends who recognized this image on the rue la la FB page on wednedsay. i guess the peeps at rue found the pups on pinterest and looks like they were a hit. {obvs}
at first i was all jammed up because they didn't credit the fabulous white loft studio, but they quickly fixed that. now george is just waiting for his royalties check. which by the way if there was such a thing, he would eat it with the rest of the mail that comes through the slot.
loved that peeps wrote captions about these two. {because they were all nice. if they weren't, my in house counsel was ready to pounce} my fave being "introducing mr. rue and ms. lala". that would be nice. hey rue, i'll trade you one george for one bottega veneta bag. juuuuuust kidding. no really, i am. not kidding at all

cannot believe i forgot to post this yesterday. i must have been busy not eating meat and repenting or definitely not either of those things something. anyhoot, my most amazing meredith nelson took this pic a couple years back. looloo wasn't supposed to be part of the shoot but then we slapped some ears on her and she started eating carrots so ummmm, how could meredith not start snapping away?
and i know you're all probably going to want to give props to C's very special haircut. thank you for that.

not much of a post today because i'm bringing my georgey to the vet. he's not himself. he's sort of behaving. i think his leg is bothering him? womp. wish us luck and hope he doesn't wind up on wheels!

the horse is putting us up at the carlysle and i'm ordering his naughtiness a steak via room service and taking him for a spin around the park.

frenchie flashback friday
as everyone freaks out in anticipation of the naughty nemo, i decided to take a look back at georgey's first maj snowstorm. totes got carried away looking through the archives.
it was just about 7 years ago, before this precious 5 pound angel joined us.
not too much has changed. i mean the saab hatchback is long gone {miss!} and the red couch has taken up permanent residence in mantown. obvs.
but i think some similar pooch canoodling will go on this weekend.

it's happening. i'm blogging from the train. holla!
the train is glorious, bee tee dubs. altho, its going to be super awk when i get off at penn station with the most ginormous suitcase known to man and two other bags, one with my precious macs {big thanks to pickwick!} but so far the extra effort is worth it.
anyhoot, i'm getting set to work on the big post i mentioned yesterday {it's slightly daunting} and started going through old pics. figured i'd do a quick frenchie friday post while i'm procrastinating. apparently, i used to dress up looloo. have not done this in some time.
should really start again, look how happy it made her.
omg - what is wrong with me? don't answer that. . .
