frenchie friday: shirt

you know what doesn't help my creepy dog lady image?  when one of my fave stores comes out with a shirt with frenchies all over it.  i meannn, how am i not supposed to get it?

and thank you in advance to all of my friends who will be forced to be seen in public with 'creepy dog lady' when i wear this shirt all the time.

frenchie friday: hot-blooded

so my post is late due to a hangover.  and it  feels like the first time.  it feels like the very first time . . . i've ever over-indulged.

the GNO to the foreigner concert really did a number on me.  

i have done a lot of totes inappropes things today that i'm not proud of, including but not limited to, asking a new neighbor to deliver me gatorade, skipping a birthday lunch for the bob's baby {so sorry!!} and a new low, having our babysitter pick up the girls from school because i was curled up in the fetal position.  so i'm feeling really good about myself, right about now.  if it wasn't a completely epic evening, i'd be beating myself up even more.  

anyhoot, i've successfully purged the cheap beer out of my system and washed the dirty guitarist hair sweat off {see best video evah below}, so back to to the task at hand.  frenchie friday!  i've just now started playing with instagram.  {late to the party much?}  and i'm obsessed with instagramming my fave subjects.  obvs.

so george and loo had their annual check-ups yesterday with dr. rock {best. vet. evah}

seems they have put on a lil weight.  wonder why?  i'm no doc but i'm guessing the lack of exercise combined with their diet supplements {ahem, mac & cheese, hot dogs, nuggets via c & p} could be the culprit.

anyhoot, they look depressed this morning.

two lovely ladies sent me the link to this fabulous doormat that i purchased immediately from west elm.  obvs.

i think it's glorious . . . and ironic since basically i'm george and looloo's doormat.

also, check out one of my fave blogs evah.  i actually watched miss kate grow up over the years, babysat her when she was such a wee one.  i totes did an amazebalz job because she is fabulous.  and she came to see us last sunday!  G & ll made quite an impression - read about our wonderful {albeit hungover} visit here on the thrill of the chaise. {worship the puntastic name.}

so when the fabulous meredith nelson of meredith nelson photography agreed to take our family pics - i knew george and loo needed something very special, seeing as they are a big part of the fam.
i was thrilled to stumble upon pecan pie puppies' etsy shoppe. it is glorious. the only problem was what to choose!
so many adorbs options.

and an aqua seersucker collar with fuschia hydrangea for miss loo.

thank you again, meredith and everyone check out pecan pie puppies. the best part is they make these collars to support their dog rescue fund. {they might even be more cray cray than i am about pooches. . . .nahhhhh}

frenchie friday: it's been awhile . . .

i feel bad about neglecting frenchie friday . . . especially since i know ms. sugar on top, in particular, wor-ships my posts about dogs.  HA.

georgie the birthday boy! and more. . .

one week ago today we celebrated george's 6th birthday.  george was born on our wedding day which is how i first knew we were meant to be. {yup, i'm a weirdo like that}

the birthday boy started the day with a romp on the beach.  6 years and one spinal surgery later, he can still keep up with the best of 'em.

we also celebrated our anniversary last friday with royal treatment from straight wharf {thanks, ty!}

effing phenom.

 followed by way too many celebratory cocktails with bridesmaid/cousin/bff ashy and her beau.

{today happens to be said bm/cuz/bff's birthday- hey, girl, hey!  love and miss you so.}

we had a chance to read our messages from table #6.  yes, this is amazing that every year we wait to read these.  if anyone knew my patience level, this is truly a miracle, but it's nice to know we still have a lil surprise to look forward to, not that GEORGE, loo, c & p, and CBC don't provide enough of those. . .

we used these booklets as table numbers for people to write messages.

this was my fave message in this year's. { has nothing to do with it being the only one.  mah. } mr. and mrs. b are dear friends and wonderful role models when it comes to marriage.  they really nailed it with their advice to "stay close, keep talking and laughing."

and well, then i guess i named my business and blog after them, too!
 mr. hoot is pretty darn special but my real soft spot is with french bulldogs.
