so i'd like to take a moment to publicly declare my undying love  heartfelt congratulations to bradley cooper for getting the coveted best actor oscar nod for silver linings playbook.  he's also up for a golden globe this sunday.  

the ash is visiting this weekend and we are going to see it . . . obvs.  then, while the horse is being a neanderthal at the pats game, our personal superbowl is happening.  

wine. pizza. wine. globes. wine.  YES!

the globes dominate all other awards shows.  movies AND my true love, TV and, ahem, they give them all booze!    

so many of my faves are up.  i need connie britton to win best actress for friday night lights nashville.

so let's just discuss what i'm going to wear if and when "the call" comes.  unfortch, i'll have to go off the rack since bradley is taking his sweet ass time inviting me.  i'll be soliciting feedback on a few options this afternoon.  stay tuned.

The Junior Aid Society is hosting the 2013 Queen of Hearts Snow Ball on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 7 to 11:30 pm at The Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead.  It is an evening of fast paced casino games, a great silent auction and dancing.  The attire for the event is Black Tie optional and all proceeds go directly to the Women's and Children's charities that Junior Aid supports.

target tuesday : effing george

so had to make a quick run to target this morning because george ate C & P's boyfriend, Grady's, sneakers {and prized possessions} while he was innocently here for a playdate yesterday.   i needed to replace those bad boys STAT.  hopefully G is none the wiser.  don't let him read the blog today, sugar!

anyhoot, while i was there i picked up the altuzarra tumblers for Grady's mom to compensate for pain and suffering.  {and then i felt some pain & suffering of my own when i saw the entire neiman's collection is now 70 percent off - doh!}

so grabbed these swim caps for our trip to mimi's to lift my spirits.

i have a serious issue with little girl's swimwear.

P.S.  keeping george on a tight leash today. . .literally.  horseface is expecting his playoff tickets in the mail at any given moment.  after *the incident* of 2011, this "leashing" is mandatory.

monday fun{ny} day: BGR blues

dammit why do i want EVERYTHING?  and i want it all now.  right. now.

 prematurely switched the girls rooms yesterday because the beds are being delivered on wednesday.  so now they are sleeping on mattresses on the floor like squatters.  to add insult to injury, made a last minute target run for pillows , mattress covers, and since the bedding hasn't arrived yet, twin sheets.  they had hardly any in stock and wound up buying clearance green and orange Christmas tree ones for ten bucks.  yikes.  the room is not shaping up as i'd hoped.

frenchie friday: cookie monster

okay, so every other day isn't quite so bad for posts, given my lengthy hiatus last month.  {yup, that's me patting myself on the back.}

one thing i cannot wait to share with you this month is C & P's 4th birthday frenchie fete.

BGR progress

so how am i doing?  new year's day post = FAIL.  and since i'm not using excuses anymore, i can't tell you why.   then i will have broken the only two publicly declared resolutions by day 2.  unacceptable.

i will offer up that we are finally taking the plunge on the big girl room!  the beds are being delivered next week and there is no turning back now.

we went with the land of nod beds i've been eyeing for quite some time and here are a few other goodies.  i'm exhausted from attempting to use photoshop for the first time in very long time. rusty?  understatement.  sort of embarrassed to even post this but it took me about 127 minutes so it's happening.  

{hey CK, i need a refresher, sister!}

1. the bob just had to send me the link to these serena & lily french tassel window panels.

2. it's really a lot harder than it should be to find adorbs little girl bedding.  but here's the front runner from dwellstudio.  totes not sold on this but i do think it's cute for a 4 year old . . . or two.  thoughts?

3.  the azure jenny lind land of nod twin beds .  done deal.  

4. creepy dog lady got a new picture frame from o'brien & schridde. holla! 

keep in mind, i'm moving them back to their original nursery where we just had all the fun with meredith and the confetti.  so we already have the striped wallpaper in that room.  CBC has made it very clear that we will not be taking down any wallpaper that i begged and pleaded for in the first place or painting. anything. ever.  such a horse's face sometimes. 

{oh and yes that's another aqua bed in the picture, because every family needs at least 3}
