monday must-sees

#1 - the EMMYS!
congrats to kyle chandler and jason katims {writer} from the best. show. evah.
loved that lyla got to hand coach the gold statue.

bummed amazebalz tammy taylor didn't win but she looked stunning, really.

FNL also got robbed for best drama but mad men is tough to beat.

{and if tim riggins wasn't available to fluff and fold in my luxury laundry room, i wouldn't mind taking don draper through the spin cycle.}

#2 i needed about 6 more weeks to hit up all my fave stores in NYC this past weekend, i did snag a couple goodies in the short amount of time between peeing my pants and kareoke until 5 am. totes loving american apparel's circle scarf for this time of year. {it's their uber-soft t-shirt material} i grabbed one in neon pink. {obvs.}

#3 so many frenchie sightings in the big apple {as c & p like to call it}. totes missed my pups. check out this blog i just stumbled upon.

NYC

so i'm off for the weekend to where i lived my tumultuous twenties.
where i made my best friends {aka shelbys}.
where i met and fell in luvvvv with the hub.
where i peed my ponts. . .a lot.
alotta lot.

missoni madness

so unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the missoni line hits our beloved target stores tomorrow. i'm having massive anxiety about how i am going to a.) not go completely cray cray and b.) get my paws on the things i want, i want, i want. {not necessarily in that order}

trying to map out a plan of action.
c & p need to be at school at 8:30.
stores open at 8.
hmph.
do i go online at 8 then drop-off and head to an actual store? no joke at one point i attempted to secure a babysitter for 7 am and realized i was getting OOC already.

so let's just think about what needs to happen here. let's assume c & p learn to dress & feed themselves overnight, maybe even how to walk to school alone. . . then where do i even start? what do i want MOST? i'm thinking first priority is shoes. {obvi} the matching flats for me, c & p.

done.

ruelala is featuring nux in their sale today. this stuff has pretty much been my uniform, as of late. i'm thinking of actually trying to exercise in it soon, too. {ha.} it's like a cross between lulu lemon and the cheapy target stuff and the rue prices are an excellent deal.

if you haven't been on rue register here so you can blow all your cash as quickly as i do.

last but certainly not least, you MUST watch the fabulous meg caswell on the season finale of HGTV's design star tonight at 9 PM. it's down to the final TWO! i'm so proud of meg and can't wait to see her shine.

back to school blues?

so it seems as if i'm neglecting my precious blog again. . . this simply isn't so.  quite the contrary, i'm actually in the process of improving it a bit. . . stay tuned for "the big reveal."

i'm also coming to terms with the end of summer as we know it.  

getting ready to ship the lil ladies off to "school" this week.  in most ways, i am so ready to do this. . . yet somehow my emotions are getting the better of me at the moment . . . found this pooh bear quote and it made me think of my girlies.  grandma and i brought them to their very first movie this summer {winnie the pooh.  obvi.} so it hits especially close to home. this pretty much sums up what i'd like to relay to them when i drop them off on friday. . .

but it's a little heavy for a couple of 2 year olds so i'll probably just high five them and say this instead. . . 

and then i'll have to remember to do the same.
